4 Theme Parks Where Families Can Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday in 2026

America’s 250th birthday will be in 2026, and states, cities and attractions across the country offer an exciting lineup of events for families to join in the celebration. If you want to include theme parks in your 2026 travel plans to celebrate America 250, there are several options you can explore from sea to sea.

Theme parks and Americana go hand in hand, and You can’t go wrong with choosing a US-based itinerary to celebrate America 250. If you’re wondering which parks are offering unique festivities for this specific summer season, look no further.

Walt Disney World

Walt Disney World usually kicks off its fireworks in full force around July 4, but this Independence Day will be especially memorable. It starts with a “Disney Celebrates America” broadcast for 24 hours during the July 4th holiday weekend on Disney+, ABC, ESPN and more.

The broadcast will conclude with an exciting fireworks display broadcast live from Magic Kingdom. The park annual “Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will be part of the celebration. There will be plenty of opportunities to view this special fireworks display, which will take place on July 3, 4 and 5.

EPCOT typically participates in Independence Day festivities with its own fireworks display, “The Heartbeat of Freedom” which follows the conclusion of his nighttime show, Luminous The Symphony of Us, on July 4. Speaking of EPCOT, guests can experience an all-new version of Soarin’ to celebrate America 250. Soaring across America will debut in time for Memorial Day weekend.

This limited-time offer will showcase the country’s natural beauty and iconic cityscapes. In total, we’ll see more than a dozen locations featured in this new sequence of rides.

Disneyland Resort

If you’re on the West Coast this summer, Disneyland Resort will feature America 250 celebrations similar to its Orlando counterpart. Disneyland Park will show “Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” July 3, 4 and 5. The fireworks will also be part of the “Disney Celebrates America” show.

Soaring across America also arrives at Disney Adventure in California. It looks like West Coast Disney guests will have to wait a little longer to see the debut of the new Soarin, as its opening date is currently being announced. July 2, 2026. Like EPCOT, this will be a “limited time itinerary.”

Dollywood

Outside of the Disney sphere, regional theme parks also participate in the America 250 festivities. Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, joins the national celebration of America’s 250th birthday with vibrant decor of red, white and blue throughout the park from March to August.

Dollywood’s Sweet Summer Nights Drone Show will light up the sky every evening during the Smoky Mountain Summer Celebration (which will take place from June 15 to August 2) with a “a dazzling patriotic salute”.

Silver Dollar City

Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri, is also celebrating America’s 250th birthday in a big way. The theme park is offering free seasonal passports to all active-duty U.S. military personnel, made possible thanks to a partnership with Arvest Bank. The park will also recognize military personnel on Hero Appreciation Days throughout the 2026 season.

Summer festivities begin May 9 at the park’s Echo Hollow Amphitheater with a special patriotic concert featuring musical acts like The Presleys, The Petersons, Clay Cooper & his Band, The Haygoods and Mike Patrick of the Grand Country Music Hall.

The Silver Dollar City summer fireworks and drone shows will light up the sky to celebrate America. You will also want to keep your eyes open during special menu items across the park feating a “star-studded festive version of classic favorites,” including a custom Coca-Cola flavor honoring America created just for Silver Dollar City.
