During a recent navigation on the Disney TreasureI entered the living room of the haunted mansion to see everything it had to offer. From drinks to souvenir cups to a murder mystery to some fun facts straight from Walt Disney Imagineering, this is one place you don’t want to miss on board. Haunted Mansion Lounge Location
The new lounge is located where Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge is, at Treasure sister ship, the Disney Wish. When you are in the Great Hall, on deck three of Disney Treasure, head left towards the walkway near the Scat Cat Lounge. Just after entering the noisy piano bar, you’ll see the first eerie glimpse of the Haunted Mansion Parlor. If you get to the Walt Disney Theater, you’ve gone too far.

The bar is quite small and there is only one entrance and one exit. Once inside, you’ll want to find a seat at the bar or in one of the grouped seats and get ready because the show is still on. Yes, the Haunted Mansion Parlor includes a fun show. You can see eight “chapters” of a story throughout your time at the bar.
History of the Haunted Mansion Living Room
The lounge is inspired by the original Haunted Mansion attraction, but with a distinct nautical twist. You are invited to regions beyond to discover the story of a ship captain and his bride. The story takes place over about thirty minutes, but try to allow around 45 minutes to enjoy the show. Where you sit will also determine what you see. Since there is so much to look at, you may notice something new every time you enter.
Details to look out for inside the ghostly cocktail bar
Inside the haunted mansion lounge, there are “wall-to-wall monsters,” as they say on the attraction. Of course, the entire space is covered in the iconic purple wallpaper of the theme parks’ Haunted Mansion rides. You will also see the “Donald Duck Chair” in a corner near the bar. And even better, you can sit in the red armchair whose stitching resembles a beloved Disney duck. Next to the chair, you’ll also see a nod to Walt Disney World’s Hatbox Ghost and Disneyland’s version of the attraction.

If you can get a seat at the bar, you’re in luck because what looks like a mirror is actually a screen that showcases otherworldly beings…namely some of the 999 happy places that have taken up residence in the haunted mansion. The bar stools provide a great vantage point for the entire eight-chapter story that takes place inside the bar. Be sure to watch out for everything from waltzing ghosts to Madame Leota floating in her crystal ball as she recites her famous seance.
Along the back wall and near the fireplace, portraits hang that will come to life when the earworm, “Grim Grinning Ghosts,” begins to play. I was lucky enough to sit by the portrait of Medusa and watch her come to life, which was absolutely breathtaking.

In the middle of the room is a large aquarium containing some interesting ghost fish. If you get close enough, you’ll even see tiny tombstones for each of the fish.
Best Drinks to Get from the Haunted Mansion Parlor
If you’re looking for a drink to accompany the thrills that run through the hallway and lounge of the Haunted Mansion Parlor, then you’re in for a treat. The drinks menu at the bar is quite extensive and there is even a secret menu to try and find. Best of all, all drinks come with cute Haunted Mansion-themed coasters that you can take home.
The menu features six signature cocktails, two of which (the Final Boy and the Last Catch) are served in a souvenir mug. I loved the Happily Never After, which combined vodka, Chambord, lemon, apple, and black cherry into a delicious after-dinner drink. I also enjoyed the zero-proof Sympathetic Libations, which were a fun twist on a margarita with airy lime salt foam and sour cherry flavors.

Non-alcoholic options included a few different sodas, known as “potions”, which contained sparkling edible glitter in each drink. Flavors of the soda included cream soda, blue grape, and lemonade. Sodas can also be served in a Hatbox Ghost sipping cup that you can take home.
Then there’s the secret menu, accessed via one of the on-screen menus found around the bar. After decoding the message, a new menu page is revealed. The menu only offers one drinking experience intended for two people, called The Spirits Have Been Released. The experience includes a gin and soda cocktail and a whiskey and lemonade cocktail. Drinks are served on a gargoyle glass holder, but you don’t get to keep the unique presentation device.

Do I need a reservation to go to the bar?
As of this writing, you do not need to make a reservation to enter the Haunted Mansion Lounge. Although things can always change, over the course of a seven-night cruise you should have no problem getting into the bar.

Pro tip: Try to enter the bar between the two dinner times on board. I was very lucky to enter the bar and get good seats just before the second dinner. If you’re planning to do so, make sure you don’t miss one of the Walt Disney Theater’s main shows, like Disney’s The Tale of Moana, which is worth taking the time to see.
Is there an age requirement to visit the Haunted Mansion Lounge?
During the day, the Haunted Mansion Parlor is open to guests of all ages. Then in the evening (generally after 9:00 p.m.), it’s strictly for adults only. There’s usually a crew member also watching the door, so be sure to think about timing if you know your little ghouls will want to see the lounge too.

Does the lounge serve food?
No, the Haunted Mansion Parlor does not serve food. But there are plenty of other great dining options on board the Disney Treasurefeaturing three rotating restaurants that you’ll dine at every night, a massive buffet open for breakfast and lunch, and included room service where you can get as many Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars as you want.
