New Details Revealed for The Magic of Disney Animation

Our main story this week comes from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, where new details have been revealed regarding the upcoming new animated experience called The magic of Disney animation.

Opening in late summer 2026, The Magic of Disney Animation will feature character meet-and-greets, an indoor play area for children and a movie theater. New this week was the announcement of Last pass!, a new animation class led by a brand new Audio-Animatronic figure of Olaf accompanied by pre-recorded videos from Disney Animation artists teach guests to draw beloved Disney characters.

“Women Who Make Magic” Tour Comes to Disneyland

Mars is Women’s History Monthand this year, you can learn more about the women who shaped Disney’s theme parks on an all-new behind-the-scenes tour of Disneyland Resort.

Disneyland “Women who make magic” the tour kicks off March 6 and will highlight the contributions of Imagineers and other female leaders at Disneyland, including Harriet Burns, Alice Davis, Mary Blair, Ruth Shellhorn, Leota Toombs, Kim Irvine and Dorothea Redmond. The tour costs $110 per person.

Merchandise Preview for the 2026 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival

THE EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival 2026 starts in less than a week, and ahead of the festival’s debut, Disney has released a first look at some merchandise which will be available for purchase.

You can expect all the usual suspects, including Limited edition Minnie ears, spirit jerseys and other clothing and accessories.

This is all in addition to other returning favorites at this year’s festival, including the outdoor food stalls and the Garden Rocks concert series. The 2026 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival runs daily from From March 4 to June 1.

Food guide released ahead of the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival

The first week of March is one of my favorites of the entire year...not just because it’s my birthday week, but because it’s the time we see the launch of TWO Disney Food Festivals: the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival as well as the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival.

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is probably my favorite Disney Parks festival of the entire year, and this year’s gourmet guide this is a major reason. We got a sneak peek at some of the new and old foods and drinks, and you guys…I’m ready to take the first flight to Anaheim!

Macaroni and cheese dishes are always a popular choice among guests and this year offer two choices: the Sirloin Gruyere Mac & Cheese with black garlic chimichurri, garlic butter crunch and Fresno pepper slices…

…and the Ramen Mac and Cheese with Furikake crumble, fish cakes, green onions and crunchy chili.

• Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run has a new name before the changes launch in May. To accompany the new Mandalorian and Grogu mission, the ride is now called (get ready…) Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run – A new mission. Disney seems to love their punctuation marks, and they pull out all the stops with this one. The Mandalorian and Grogu mission launches on May 22.
• Robert Downey Jr. named godfather of Disney Adventure. The announcement comes just weeks before the ship’s maiden voyage, scheduled for March 10. The Disney Adventure is the first Disney Cruise Line ship to call outside the United States, with day-at-sea itineraries only for its inaugural season departing from Singapore.
