7 Character Restaurants Featuring Mickey Mouse at Walt Disney World


No trip to Walt Disney World is complete without saying hello to the character who started it all, Mickey Mouse. There is a many different ways to meet Mickey; in fact, Disney World will make sure that if you want to take a photo with him, you can do so – in some cases you don’t even need a park ticket. If you don’t like waiting in line, many character restaurants around Disney World include Mickey Mouse.

Character meals are a great way to meet lots of characters.from the classic Fab Five (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald) to Disney princesses. Most boutique restaurants are buffets or family meals, aimed at families where everyone can find something to enjoy. Not only character meals eliminate the need to queue to meet the characters, but it’s also a great way to Meet them in fun and unique outfits tailored specifically to that restaurant’s theme.

If you want to cross several items off your Disney World bucket list at once (like eating breakfast and meeting Mickey Mouse), Consider booking a dining reservation in advance at one of the following restaurants.

Chef Mickey’s – Disney’s Contemporary Resort

There are few Disney World restaurants as iconic as Chef Mickey’s. It’s almost a rite of passage to bring your kids here on their first Disney World vacation. This buffet-style restaurant is located in the main building on Contemporary Disney Resort. Watch the monorail pass overhead and meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald and Goofy dressed as chefs. This is the only restaurant on Disney World property where you can meet the Fab 5 in one place!

‘Ohana – Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Located at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, ‘Ohana is one of the most sought-after dining reservations at Disney World. If this is on your to-do list, book a reservation here as soon as your 60-day window opens. Note that characters (including Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch) are only available during the Best friends breakfast.

Garden grill – EPCOT

While the majority of EPCOT Restaurants can be found in World Showcase, there are some good finds in the “front half” of the park. Notably, Garden grill is a fan favorite located in the Land Pavilion. THE slow moving restaurant comes with a preview of the Living With the Land attraction below as well as visits from Mickey, Pluto, Chip and Dale. No matter what meal you choose, you may find a new favorite restaurant at Garden Grill.

Topolino Terrace – Disney’s Riviera Resort

Named after Mickey Mouse in Italian, The Topolino terrace is located on the top floor of Disney’s Riviera Resort. The restaurant offers stunning views of the surrounding resort and the characters (Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy) are dressed in adorable artist outfits for “Breakfast à la Art.”

Culinary experience: Fixed price, American cuisine (note that dinner offers French and Italian cuisine)

Meals served: Breakfast (characters do not appear for dinner)

Tusker House – Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Inside Disney’s Animal Kingdomyou will find one of the best character restaurants on Disney World property has Tusker House! This boutique buffet offers great options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not only that, but the characters (Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Daisy) are all dressed as adorable safari outfits.

Hollywood and Vine – Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to several highly themed table service restaurants, including Hollywood and the Vine. Currently, Mickey, Minnie and the gang appear during breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the past, Disney Junior characters appeared more during breakfast, so be sure to check before your trip for the most up-to-date information. This is when the restaurant transforms several times a year into Minnie’s seasonal meals. The restaurant, like the characters’ outfits, adopts a new theme each season.

Culinary experience: Buffet, American cuisine

Meals served: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Mickey’s outfit: Seasonal dress (Halloween costume in the fall, Christmas-themed outfit during the holidays, etc.). Here is the following program for seasonal themed dinners starting in December 2025:

  • Holiday dinner: From November 5, 2025 to January 4, 2026
  • Silver Screen Dinner: January 5, 2026 to March 10, 2026
  • Spring is yours: March 11, 2026 to May 20, 2026
  • Summer dinner: Starts May 21, 2026

Ravello – Four Seasons Resort Orlando

The final character dining option featuring Mickey is a little more exclusive than the others, but only in the sense that it’s off the beaten path and only offered a few mornings a week. If you didn’t know, there is a Four Seasons Resort found on Disney World property, and each Thursday and Saturday, the restaurant on site Ravello hosts Hello breakfast with Goofy and his friendsincluding Mickey! As with all Disney World Resort hotels, you don’t have to be an overnight guest to dine here—the public is welcome!

Culinary experience: Fixed price, standard cuisine for breakfast (dinners offer Italian cuisine)

Meals served: Breakfast (Thursday and Saturday mornings only. Some Tuesdays may be available during peak season. Characters do not appear for lunch, dinner, or any other day of the week).
