Built at the turn of the 20th century in Yellowstone National Park, the former Faithful Inn Log style is a brilliant example of “parkarchitecture”, the distinctive architectural style of the lodges of the National Park. Crater National Park Lake, Oregon

Crater Lake Lodge in Crater Lake’s National Park opened in 1915, but the fragmentary approach to construction meant that, in the 1990s, the lodge was deemed dangerous and had to be rebuilt. Many original touches of the first Crater Lake lodge remain, however, and accommodation still resembles a lodge of the Quintesseniel National Park, with roaring halls, a rustic dining room and outdoor seats that constitute the maximum of these crater lake views.

Note: Crater Lake will get closer to the public from 2026 to 2029 while his Cleetwood Clove Trail (the only path to the lake) will undergo repairs and renovations.
