ICYMI: Silver Dollar City will invest half a billion dollars over the next decade, new resort hotel announces

Voted the #1 theme park in the United States by Tripadvisor, Silver Dollar City is not one to rest on its laurels. His company, Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts, just made the biggest announcement in its 65-year history: a $500 million investment plan over the next decade, which includes the development of 1,200 acres adjacent to the theme park.

Silver Dollar City, nestled in the Ozark Mountains in Branson, Missouri, is a popular family destination that seamlessly blends tradition and innovation. In true Silver Dollar City fashion, the park has its eyes on the future while making sure to maintain that special sauce. In addition to the significant investment over the next decade, the park recently unveiled its festival lineup for the upcoming 2025 season, including an all-new spring festival and new entertainment and dining opportunities.

Silver Dollar City announces $500 million investment plan, including its first resort hotel

Silver Dollar City Parks & Resort’s $500 million development plan will first manifest itself in the form of a brand new resort hotel: Silver Dollar City Resort. It will be the first theme park in the American heartland, with 262 rooms and panoramic views of the Ozark Mountains and Table Rock Lake. Work is currently underway and the Silver Dollar City Resort is expected to open in late 2026.

When completed, the complex will include a full-service restaurant, 17,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and an indoor and outdoor pool. More details will be revealed soon regarding resort amenities, park privileges, room types and group meeting spaces. Guests staying at the resort will also be able to enjoy transportation from the resort’s front gate to a special resort entrance at Silver Dollar City.

Media present during this historic announcement were then invited to the construction site to admire the breathtaking views. It will truly be a sight to behold when the resort is completed and welcomes its first guests in late 2026. The resort is just the first of what will surely be multiple announcements and projects in the years to come.

More changes coming to Silver Dollar City in 2025

In addition to the upcoming $500 million investment plan, Silver Dollar City also revealed dates for its 2025 seasonal festivals, which include some new additions.

New for 2025 is Spring Exposition, an all-new festival featuring an expanded plaza with ample space for dancing, gardening demonstrations and more. The spring display will also feature the debut of a new parasol sky rising above Valley Road.

During the Spring Festival, which runs from April 10 to May 12, guests can enjoy a new Down-Home Clogging Jamboree show, a new Fest House, which celebrates America’s iconic food and music , and a range of new foods to try, including those for spring. inspired dishes like Ozarks Fish Fry, Peach Cobbler Mason Jars and Honey Blueberry Lemonade. Following the Spring Expo, Silver Dollar City’s annual Bluegrass & BBQ Festival returns May 14-26.

Next summer, the Silver Dollar City Summer Celebration returns June 7 through August 3 with old-fashioned and new fun. An all-new drone and fireworks show will take place every evening, as well as dance parties on the park’s newly expanded Plaza. Additional new entertainment and dining offerings will also be available on deck for summer celebrations. The Southern Gospel Picnic will also return next summer, available to guests from August 21 to September 1.

Fall is all about the most popular festivals, including the Harvest Festival and An Old Time Christmas. The Harvest Festival returns September 12 to October 25, with thousands of pumpkins, dancing parties and fall flavors.

From November 1 to December 30, An Old Time Christmas returns with a new Grand Plaza Christmas tree with a nighttime lighting ceremony. A new Heart of Christmas show will also debut as part of the 2025 holiday season.
